ANZAC DAY

ARRANGEMENTS FOR TOMORROW SERVICE IN MASTERTON. ORDER OF PROCESSION & OTHER DETAILS. Anzac Day will be celebrated tomorrow in Masterton and. at other centres throughout the Wairarapa with appropriate public services. In Masterton a public memorial service will be held at the Park at 10.50 a.m., under the auspices of the Wairarapa R.S.A. The Ven Archdeacon E. J. Rich, C.F., will preside and the Masterton Municipal Band will supply the music for the hymns. Ex-servicemen are to assemble at the Soldiers’ Hostel at 10.15 and the parade will move off sharp at 10.40, arriving at the Park at 10.50. The order of the procession will be the Municipal Band. R.S.A., Territorials, Wairarapa College Pipe Band, College Cadets, V.A.D’s, Home Guard and E.P.S. units. Boy Scouts. ’ The service at the Park has been arranged so that two minutes’ silence will be observed at 11 a.m. The R.S.A. Wreath of Remembrance will be laid by Mr H. J. Brass, vicepresident of the Wairarapa R.S.A., in the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr R. Whyborn. Following is the order of service:— 10.50, National Anthem (2 verses); 10.53, prayer; 10.55, lesson; 10.58, laying of R.S.A. Wreath of Remembrance; 11 a.m., two minutes’ silence; 11.3, address; 11.10, Recessional (first and last verses); 11.13, closing prayer; 11,15, returned men march to Soldiers’ Club.
