PUBLIC NOTICES. EMERGENCY LIGHTING. AT a recent meeting of the E.P.S. Executive Committee. Mr Norman Lee, Controller of the Medical and Public Health Committee, mentioned the need of emergency lighting for temporary hospitals and casualty clearing stations, should the usual utility service be disrupted. The opinion was expressed that benzine pressure lamps would prove a very serviceabel stand-by, as they furnish a powerful light. < Members of the Committee stated that if an appeal was made for petrol lamps to serve in case of emergency, there might be a gratifying response from those possessing lamps of this type who have no further use for them, to offer these to the Committee.
