QUOTATIONS IN WELLINGTON.
Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington market this week are quoted as follow: —
Quinces 4s to 7s a 3 case; grapes, hothouse Is 9d to 2s 6d a lb; passion fruit 12s to 18s a 4 case; tree tomatoes 7s to 9s a 4 case. Tomatoes, Hutt coloured 4s to 7s 6d a 4 case, Hutt ripe 5s to Bs, Hutt round 7s to 9s 9d; cape gooseberries 2s 6d to 5s 6d a 4 case. Beans 8s to 22s 6d a case; cucumbers,, cutside 4s to 9s 6d a case; green peas 12s 6d to 37s a sack; pumpkins 3s to 9s a sack.
Potatoes 9s to 13s 6d a cwt; onions 7s to 10s 6d a cental bag; kumeras 12s to 17s a sugar bag.
Cabbage 3s to 8s 6d a sack; cauliflowers 9s to 17s Cd a sack; lettuce Is to 3s 6d a case; silver beet 6d to Is 6d a case; spinach 3s to 8s a case; marrows 2s to 3s 6d a case. Swedes 3s 6d to 6s 6d a case; parsnips 9s to Us 9d a case; beetroot 3s to 5s a case; carrots 5s to 7s 6d a case; celery 3s to 6s a case; rhubarb 5s to 12s a dozen bunches.
