PRESENTATION OF CERTIFICATES.

NURSING DIVISION GATHERING

There was a good attendance at the Y.M.C.A. rooms, Masterton, last night when the presentation of certificates in connection with the St. John Ambulance Nursing Division took place. Mrs H. E. Pither presided.' Among those present were Miss Whitehouse (superintendent) and Mrs D. K. McKenzie (ambulance officer). ,

Mrs N. H. Prior presented the following with proficiency badges and certificates: I. Burgess. Z. Gilliland. B. Martin. J. Steel. T. Payne. J. Miller. Mrs Prior also presented first aid. home nursing and hygiene certificates. A list of the successful candidates has been previously published in the "Times-Age.” Nurse Blair, district nurse, gave a short address on the value of the first aid and nursing training. Miss Whitehouse also spoke briefly. At a gathering on Saturday the following St. John Voluntary Aid Nursing Detachment Certificates were presented by Sister Collins (Wellington): Leslie Beetham. Olive Clemas. Barbara Birch, Maxine McLaren. Louisa Whitehouse, Joan Beetham. Nancy Morrison. Barbara Barton. Mary Taylor, Ysobel Stilburn, Katherine Cunningham. Barbara Deans. Lucy Swain. Mary Pither. Gwen Pither. Mary Maunsell. Edith Low. Flora McDonald. Elaine Prior. Rhoda Burling.
