The Germans have attacked Malta every night for the past week, making large-scale bombing raids and machine-gunning indiscriminately in every direction. The damage is not as extensive as could be expected and the death-roll is fairly small. Thousands yesterday watched an air battle when British fighters tackled raiders consisting of a small formation of Savoias escorted by Capronis and Messerschmitts. Three Capronis were shot down and the raiders' bombs fell in the sea.
