MANY ATTACKS
MADE BY BRITISH BOMBERS ON TARGETS IN GERMANY & ELSEWHERE. ENEMY SUPPLY SHIP SUNK. LONDON, April 21. Although widespread attacks were made by the R.A.F. on Western Germany last night, there was scarcely any enemy air activity over Britain. Today a few raiders crossed, the coast, but action was confined mainly to South-East England. There are no reports of bombs having been dropped. Coastal Command aircraft renewed their attacks on Brest where visibility was also bad. Hits were seen on the quay and near the docks. Three British machines are missing from all these operations. An Admiralty communique reports that yesterday a minesweeper destroy* ed two Messerschmitts. In a daylight operation, aircraft sank a 3000 ton enemy supply ship off the coast of Norway.
