THE AIR FORCE
SELECTION OF NON-FLYING PERSONNEL. COMMITTEE TO VISIT MASTERTON. An Air Force Selection Committee will visit Masterton on April 28 for the purpose of selecting non-flying personnel. Interviews will take place in the Borough Council Chambers, commencing at 1.30 p.m. There are some additional vacancies for patrolmen. disciplinary N.C.O.’s and fire personnel. Applicants for these positions are required to be either over military age or medically unfit for service overseas, while being fit for service in New Zealand, and they may present themselves for interview from 3.30 p.m.. to 4.30 p.m.
The selection of patrolmen and disciplinary N.C.O.’s will as far as possible be confined to returned soldiers, while fire fighting personnel are required to have had substantial training in this trade. The committee will leave for Palmerston North on the 5.55 p.m. rail car.
