LANSDOWNE SCHOOL

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. DISTRIBUTION OF APPLES APPRECIATED. The monthly meeting of the Lansdowne. School Committee was held last evening, Mr J. G. McKay presiding over a good attendance of members. Apologies for absence were received from Messrs McFarlane and McGregor. Advice was received from the auditors of the annual audit of accounts and the committee was congratulated on the presentation of the school accounts.

The headmaster’s report was adopted. The roll number was 284. but the attendance was being affected by colds, mumps and whooping cough. The grounds were in good order, lhe lawns were to be topdressed during the week. Apples were now being supplied daily, and were.much appreciated by lhe children.
