Twenty-eight German prisoners escaped through a tunnel at . night from a north-western Ontario internment camp. The surrounding country is heavily wooded and studded with tiny lakes. The district is sparsely populated and practically foodless. Altogether 61 prisoners have escaped from the internment authorities in Canada.
