A German communique describes last night’s raid on London as retaliation for the raid on Berlin on April 17. The raiders on London hit four hospitals, four museums, two churches, a Town Hail and a grammar school. Nurses evacuated 28 patients from a hospital without a casualty, while. incendiary and explosive bombs were falling. One-third of the building was destroyed in the autumn. Incendiary bombs later burnt out the top floor of the remaining part. The staff hopes still to carry on in what is left after a third bombing.
