PETROL RATIONING
REDUCTION NECESSARY IN AUSTRALIA., MINISTER'S INTIMATION. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.5 p.m.) ADELAIDE, This Day. The Minister of Supply, Senator McBride, announced that unless private motor-vehicle users made a voluntary reduction within the next two months in petrol consumption, the Commonwealth would make further cuts in the present scale of petrol allowances. The increasing mechanisation of forces, he said, made it more than ever necessary that stocks should be conserved.
