FREEDOM OF GIRDLERS’ COMPANY. CONFERRED ON DOMINION HIGH COMMISSIONER. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.10 a.m.) LONDON, April 18. The distinction of honorary freedom of the Worshipful Company of Girdlers has been conferred on the New Zealand High Commissioner (Mr W. J. Jordan). The last honorary freeman was elected in 1901. The honour marks a long association of the company with New Zealand, particularly as annual hosts of New Zealanders on New Zealand Day.
