FIGHTING IN GREECE NAZI PROPAGANDA TAKES NEW TURN. MORE LIES ABOUT BRITISH - TROOPS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright! (Received This Dav, Noon.) LONDON, April 17. An Italian communique claims that the Italians have occupied Klisura, in Albania. A German communique says the Germans captured-the town of Servia.
A Zurich message says German propagandists have suddenly ceased spreading the story that the British are withdrawing from Greece and now declare that world opinion forced the British Government to order troops to return to the defence lines on Mt. Olympus.
R.A.F. ATTACKS HEAVY BLOWS AT ENEMY TRANSPORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) RUGBY. April 17. “In Greece,” a R.A.F. Middle East communique states, “R.A.F. bombers have carried out unceasing attacks on enemy supply columns, particularly on the Kczani-Bitolj-Ptolemais area. Much damage was caused. A railway line near Koritios, motor transport on a road near Kitros and a railway station south-east of Katarini were also successfully bombed. Fires were started at Seres aerodrome and a convoy east of Salonika was heavily raided, “A large formation of enemy aircraft which attacked shipping in Khalkis Harbour yesterday was engaged by our, fighters, which shot down a Junkersl 88. Another was destroyed by anti-air-) craft fire. [ “Enemy aircraft raided an aero-, drome at Heraklion on April 15. Negligible damage resulted. One enemy aircraft was shot down and the pilot captured.”
