The “Journal of Commerce” says the Maritime Commission has requisitioned the American export liner Exemplar. This is regarded as a first step' in a move to utilise a large number of fast American cargo vessels to aid Britain. The Exemplar, although scheduled to dock in Boston today, has been ordered to deviate to New York to be unloaded as speedily z as possible, so that she may be taken over on Saturday. It is reported that numerous other fast liners will be taken over in a few; days.
