“SANDY GETS HER MAN.” Fulfilling the promise of her earlier pictures, Baby Sandy romps through her most hilarious role to date as the star of Universal’s new comedy’ film. "Sandy Gets Her Man,” which will be shown tonight. Presented in a story which blends comedy with fast action and suspense, the child star has expert support from a handpicked cast of favourites. Stuart Erwin portrays the fireman who turns Romeo to hold his job. Una Merkel plays Sandy’s mother and William Frawley is seen as the worried police captain. Columbia’s “North of Shanghai” brings the present Orient war into flaming life as one of the better action dramas of the year# “North of Shanghai” c.o-features James Craig and Betty Furness, as a newsreel photographer and a newspaper correspondent respectively. Set in the war-torn Chinese city, “North of Shanghai” tells a thrilling story of a nest of spies unearthed by the. intrepid newshawks while “covering” the war. The supporting cast is headed by Keye Luke, ' Dick Curtis, Joseph Downing, Honorable Wu, Cy Kendall, Richard Loo, John Tyrrell, Lotus Lieu and Dorothy Gulliver.
