In Abyssinia the R.A.F. carried out a raid on the Dessie Aerodrome and the South African Air Force bombed and machine-gunned enemy troops and encampments. A number of deserters from Italian Colonial forces have reformed themselves into irregular bands to co-oper-ate with the advancing British forces. Further progress has been made by the British columns advancing in Dessie. A number of additional prisoners have been taken. At Addis Ababa 5000 Italian and 4000 colonial troops have been taken prisoner.
