THE CONVOY CONSISTED OF FIVE SUPPLY SHIPS AMD THREE DESTROYERS. Two of the supply ships, of about 5,000 tons each, were heavily laden with motor transport. These ships were sunk. Two other ships, of about 3,000 tons each, were probably transports. These were also blown up. The convoy escort comprised an Italian destroyer of 1,628 tons and two smaller destroyers.
