Prices of fruit and vegetables in the Wellington market this week are quoted as follows:—• Quinces, 5s to 9s a three-quarter case. Grapes, hothouse. Is to Is 1 Id a lb. Passion fruit, 8s to 13s a half-case. Tomatoes, Hutt coloured, 5s to 9s a half-case; Hutt ripe, 5s to 10s" 6d; Hutt round. 8s to 13s 6d. Cape gooseberries, 5s to 7s a half-case.
Beans, 10s to 25s a case. Cucumbers, outside, 4s to 7s 3d a case. Green peas, 16s to 33s Gd a sack. Pumpkins, 3s fid to 9s a sack. Potatoes, 9s to 13s Gd a cwt. Onions. Gs to 9s a cental bag. Kurnevas, 8s to Ils a sugar bag. Cabbage, 2s Gd to 9s Gd a sack. Cauliflowers, 7s to 24s 9d a sack. Lettuce, 3s to 8s a case. Silver beet, 2s*3d to 5s Gd a case. Spinach, 4s to 9s Gd a case. Marrows, Is Gd to 4s a case.
Swedes, 3s to 4s 9d a case. Parsnips, 7s to Us a case. Beetroot. 2s to 3s Gd a case. Carrots, 7s to 14s a case. Celery, 3s to Gs a case. Rhubarb, 12s to 19s a dozen bunches.
