SABOTEURS WARNED
U.S.A. VICE=PRESIDENT APPEALS FOR UNITY RAPID EXPANSION OF PRODUCTION. NEEDED TO DESTROY NAZIS. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) NEW YORK, April 13. The Vice-President, Mr Henry Wallace, appealing for national unity to speed defence production, gave a warning that the feelings of an “outraged nation” would descend upon industrial saboteurs. Addressing shareholders of the Federal Home Loan Bank, he said that nothing would so discourage the German leaders as to see American production advancing in almost perpendicular ascent and nothing would more encourage the British. “The Nazi madmen,” he said, “must and will destroy themselves, but the time when' destruction takes place will depend largely upon how rapidly we produce munitions in the months immediately ahead."
