ENEMY BOMBERS
THREE DESTROYED YESTERDAY OVER AND AROUND BRITAIN. ATTACKS ON NAZI SUPPLY SHIPS The destruction of three enemy bombers over or around Britain was reported yesterday, the 8.8. C. states. One was shot down early in the morning by a trawler and another was destroyed by a submarine chaser of the Free French naval forces. No damage or casualties were sustained by either vessel.
The destruction of the third enemj bomber was reported in a communique issued last night. The bombei crashed in Northern Wales.
There was rather more daylight enemy air activity over Britain yesterday than of late. Flying singly, enemy planes dropped bombs over several widely-separated places in various parts of the country. There were few casualties and little damage was done.
In daylight on Sunday an enemy supply ship was bombed and machinegunned and when last seen was sinking rapidly. Another enemy supply ship and a naval patrol vessel were also attacked. One British plane is missing.
