MAN’S JAW BROKEN. INCIDENT AT STEWART ISLAND. (Ey Telegraph—Press Association.) INVERCARGILL, April 13. As the result of an attack by three youths at Stewart Island, Mr Herbert Hansen, aged 35. has been admitted to the Southland Hospital with a fractured jaw. Mr Hansen, who lives at the Oban Hotel, and who is recovering from an illness, heard some unauthorised persons in his father’s boarding house. When he went to investigate he was attacked ,by 'three youths and iniu r ed in the struggle. Mr Hansen was brought to the mainland by the Tamatea m Saturday afternoon. An ambulance was waiting at the port and he was conveyed to the Southland Hospital.
