Mounted Home Guard.

The city of Lower Hutt has a mounted Home Guard. It has been organised by its commander. Lieutenant James Stellin, who has assembled a troop of between 30 and 40 men, and is seeking to enlarge it. The unit parades once a week on foot, and once a week mounted. Lieutenant Stellin took part in the Gallipoli campaign, and was with the mounted men who penetrated into the heart of Palestine.
