SOLWAY COLLEGE
OLD GIRLS’ ASSOCIATION. MEETING OF WELLINGTON BRANCH. The Wellington branch of the Solway College Old Girls’ Association held its annual general meeting at the Y.W.C.A. Wellington, recently, when 16 members were present. The president, Mrs Avann, was unable to attend because of illness. Miss Wynne Dunkley was in the chair and officers elected for the following year are: —President, Miss Dunkley vice-president, Mrs Avann; secretary, Miss N. Thompson; .treasurer, Miss J. Thornton: committee, Mrs Morton, Mrs McCaw, Miss Jean Lawrence, Miss Nan Ussher.
Mention was made in the report of the patriotic work done by the branch during the year. Several tea dances and a Sunday tea for the soldiers among other entertainments were mentioned. and members were thanked for their helpful efforts. Members decided to make articles suitable for sale at the annual bazaar of the school, Iho proceeds of which will go to the patriotic fund.
Supper was provided by Misses Mollie Goodworth and Olwen Rowlands.
