President Roosevelt's action in proclaiming the reopening of the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden to American shipping is warmly welcomed in London. Shipping difficulties will be considerably alleviated when American ships travel directly to ports from which the armies in Egypt and the Balkans can be supplied.
