NEW ZEALAND AIRMAN'S TACTICAL ABILITY. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 11. The citation in connection with the award of the Distinguished Flying Cross to Flying Officer Lindsay Basil Buchanan, of New Zealand, states that "operating continuously from Egypt, to Greece he carried out 44 operational sorties since June, all in the face of anti-aircraft fire and frequently fighter opposition. Flying Officer Buchanan recently led a flight in eight raids in eight days, showing in an outstanding manner high tactical ability.”

Flying Officer Buchanan is the son of Mr. A. R. Buchanan, Lockwood, Kairanga, Palmerston North.
