HUNGARY JOINS IN

TERRITORIAL CLAIMS ON YUGOSLAVIA TROOPS NOW ON MARCH. RUMANIA MAY FOLLOW SUIT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, April 11. Hungary has claimed territory from Yugoslavia and Hungarian troops are now on the march. Rumania shows signs of taking similar action.

The Germans claim to have captured Zagreb, in north Yugoslavia, and announce that an independent Croat State is being set up. Hungary joined in the attempt to dismember Yugoslavia by today recognising this puppet State. The Regent of Hungary, Admiral Horthy, in a proclamation, said Yugoslavia had ceased to exist and was now resolved into her component parts. Hungarian troops had marched against the Yugoslav border as it was their duty to protect Ihe Hungarian minority there. Admiral Horthy claimed that the new State had been set up by the Croats themselves.

Therp is still no confirmation of reports that German troops have entered the Yugoslav capital, Belgrade, and occupied Zagreb. The Rumanian Press is complaining about the treatment of the Rumanian minority in Yugoslavia, saying that it has been ill used.

American reports from the Turkish capital. Ankara, repeat the statement that Bulgarian troops are taking part in the German attack on Yugoslavia. This is still denied by Bulgaria. The Berne correspondent of the ■‘New York Times” states that Italian troops, which moved from the north of Albania to join the German invaders, met with opposition and were prevented from affecting a junction. A Yugoslav High Command communique stales that the German advance in the north has been held east of Zagreb. German forces in Greece have not yet come into contact with the main defence line which runs from the Aegean coast south-west of Salonika to the lake district in the mountains where the Yugoslav and Greek frontiers meet. The British Imperial Forces have not vet been in action.
