SERVICE OF WITNESS

GATHERING IN OPERA HOUSE LAST NIGHT. The United Service of Witness held by the Masterton Ministers’ Association in the Opera House last night was well attended. The president of the association, the Rev. David McNeur, presided. Addresses appropriate to the occasion were given by Major Dick, of the Salvation Army, and by the Rev. V. W. Joblin. The Rev. John Davie took the reading and the Rev. H. S. Kings led the gathering in prayer. Among those present were delegates to the Wellington Sunday School Union convention, which is being held in Masterton. They were welcomed to the town and to the service by the chairman.

A solo was contributed by Miss D. Jamieson.
