WAIRARAPA RUGBY UNION. ANNUAL REPORT. The annual report of the Wairarapa Rugby Union states, inter alia: — As was expected, the season was a trying one, and the whole-hearted support of players and Rugby supporters is asked for in the coming season to keep the Rugby game going during the war period. The prevailing conditions are reflected in the balance sheet, which shows a loss of £lOO 13s. The Insurance Fund of the Union shows a satisfactory position ,and if this fund is to be kept going, then it is up to the players to support it to the full. Your executive, the members of the Referees’ Association, the representative teams’ sole selectors, have all given a lot of time to their various duties, and are deserving of the thanks of the Union. The St. John Ambulance Brigade attended the playing fields regularly, and for their valuable services we are deeply grateful. Your secretary. Mr E. McKenzie, does not intend to seek re-elec-tion.
