TWO ENEMY AIRCRAFT DESTROYED. SHOT DOWN BY BRITISH WARSHIPS. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Dav. 11.58 a.m.) RUGBY. April 9. An Admiralty communique announced this evening that two German aircraft had been shot down today by the guns of his Majesty’s ships. One Messerschmitt 110 was shot down by the destroyer Valorous, and another plane by the combined lire of the destroyer Avon Vale and the trawler Kinston Beryl. No casualties or damage wore sustained by any of his Majesty's ships in these encounters.
