Sharp Earthquake.

The second sharp earthquake felt in Wanganui this week occurred at 10.27 a.m. yesterday. The tremor, which had a pronounced swaying motion, lasted about 12 seconds and was preceded by a loud noise. No damage is reported.

Labour Party Conference.

More than 500 delegates will attend the ?sth annual conference of the New Zealand Labour Party, which will open in (he Town Hall. Wellington, on Easter Monday and continue till the following Thursday night. A total of 859 unions and 555 branches will be represented. The national president. Mr J. Roberts, will preside. Conference will consider 1023 remits, consolidated under 59 headings. The proceedings will not be open to the Press.-
