WEDDING

RUTHERFORD—MARTYN. St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, Cambridge, was beautifully decorated in autumn colours on Saturday afternoon for the wedding of Nancy Maude, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. G. Martyn, Cambridge, to William George, only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. W. Rutherford, Glenmoraan, Masterton. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a lovely fully trained bridal frock of tea-rose foam chiffon girdled with gold leaves. Her tea-rose tulle veil fell from a halo of waxed French flowers. Completing this charming toilette was a shower bouquet of roses and dahlias. The bridegroom’s sister, Miss Ethel Rutherford, who attended the bride, was frocked in turquoise blue pintucked georgette, worn with a French beret in autumn tinted tulle and flowers, which matched the bouquet of copper-tinted roses and abutilon.

Second Lieutenant Colin Martyn was best man. The ushers at the church were Messrs. Terry Falloon (Masterton), W. Morgan and Nelson Vosper (Cambridge). ,

Mrs. E. G. Martyn received the guests wearing a navj z cloque gown relieved with yellow, a wide navy hat and yellow bouquet. Mrs. C. W. Rutherford, who assisted her, was attired in a smart black tucked ensemble with a black hat and carried a bouquet of pink roses and zinnias.
