FIFTH BIRTHDAY

CADET DIVISION OF ST. JOHN AMBULANCE. An enjoyable time was spent by members of the Cadet Division of the St. John’ Ambulance at the Brigade Rooms, Ma'sterton, last evening, when a party was held to celebrate the division's fifth birthday. The function was arranged by three members of the social committee, Mrs. Dell and the Misses Dean. Games and competitions were held. following which an adjournment was made to the well-laden tables. Pride of place was taken by a cake, specially decorated by Miss M. Dean, which featured a kewpie dressed as a St. John Ambulance Cadet.

Mr. C. S. McQuade, cadet superintendent, mentioned that the function’ was organised to mark the fifth year of training. A hearty vole of thanks was accorded those responsible for the gathering.
