Mr. Fraser announced that arrangements had been made for the recording of the striking of the chimes-of Big Ben over all stations, national and commercial, at 9 p.m., so that during that time, as commended by the King, the people of New Zealand may join in spirit with the people of the United Kingdom by spending this time in silent prayer.
