AERODROME IN NORWAY BOMBED LOW-LEVEL ATTACK MADE IN MOONLIGHT. TROUBLESOME SEARCHLIG HT RUT OUT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day. 12.30 p.m.) RUGBY. April 3. A coastal Command Blenheim pilot, on patrol over Stavanger last night, made a successful low-level attack on Forus Aerodrome. The moon outlined the buildings clearly as the pilot skimmed the roof-tops at 150 miles an hour and released his bombs in a stick, while his machine-guns were also firing. The bombs fell directly on a hangar and between other buildings. Intense antiaircraft fire followed the pilot as he flew off. One troublesome searchlight was put out by the observer’s gun.
