SECOND HOUR
EXTENSION OF SUMMER TIME IN BRITAIN. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY. April 7. Under the new defence regulations a second hour of summer time will come into .force on Sunday, May 4. and continue until Sunday, August 10, as announced recently by the Home Secretary. Special provision has been made regarding agriculture, whereby the working day will remain as at present— affected by only one hour of summer time. Farm workers' hours will be arranged accordingly, except where milk is picked up by passenger trains.
