PARACHUTE RAID
DAMAGE IN CALABRIA ITALIAN EXECUTED AS TRAITOR. ACCORDING TO ROME REPORT. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day. 1.20 p.m.) LONDON, April G. Taken prisoner with the British parachutists who recently landed in Italy. Fiochi, an Italian subject, aged 44. was declared a traitor by a special tribunal for the defence of the Stale, and executed by a firing squad. An official statement in Rome, announcing this, admitted that the parachutists committed acts of sabotage in the Calabrian region. ITALY OBEYS ORDERS (Received This Day, 9.15 a.m.) LONDON. April G. The Associated Press of Great Britain's correspondent at Berne says Italy has officially stated that “Italian sea. land and air forces will participate in the attack against Yugoslavia."
