PLUNKET SOCIETY MEETING OF COMMITTEE. (“Times-Age" Special.) At a meeting of the committee of the Plunket Society, Mrs. Q. Donald, presided. There were also present Mesdames, J. G. McKenzie, H. R. Bloxam, G. S. Sharp, A. S. Kilsby, J. A. Halpin, M. C. Turner. J. G. Donald. Roy Donald, J. Willett, R. S. Keenan. Apologies: Mesdames A. R. Robbins, N. C. C. Shepherd. Arch Clark, G. Yule and E. Wakely. Accounts amounting to £6 18s. were passed for payment. A credit balance of £541 was reported. The nurse’s report was considered very satisfactorj'. The third Friday in each month is to be set aside for seeing pre-school children from 2 to 5 years of age On this day, the nurse would not interview mothers with babies The health of babies in the district was improving after an epidemic of whooping cough. The annual meeting is to be held on June 4. The Society intends to celebrate its silver jubilee in suitable manner. Euchre Party and Dance. A euchre party and dance is to be held in the Kaiwaiwai Hall on Monday. Prizes of a lamb and a goose are offered for the euchre winners. Personal Items. Miss Nancy Wilson and Sister Barker, who have been visiting Mrs. Geo. Yule, South Featherston, have returned to Paraparaumu. Miss A. I. Wilson, head mistress, and Miss I. Hirst, of the staff of Queen Margaret’s College, Wellington, are the weekend guests of Mrs. N. C. C. Shepherd.
