The Emperor has approved the appointments of Vice-Admiral Teijiro Toyoda as Minister of Commerce and Industry and of Lieutenant-General Teichi Suzuki, as President of the Planning Board, in a drastic shake-up of Cabinet’s key positions. Vice-Ad-miral Sawamoto. Commander-in-Chief of the Japanese fleet in the South China Seas, has been appointed Navy Vice-Minister.
