BRITAIN & ABYSSINIA. NO TERRITORIAL AMBITIONS. (British Official Wireless.' ’ RUGBY. April 2. Replying to parliamentary questions the Foreign Under-Secretary. Mr Butler. reiterated a statement made by the Foreign Secretary on February 4 that the British Government had no territorial ambitions in Abyssinia. British political officers now being appointed to take over centres of administration were doing so with the consent and approval of the Emperor.
