SPLENDID DOUBLE BILL. A gripping drama of espionage, “Law and Disorder,” co-starring Barry K. Barnes and Diana Churchill, will be shown at the Cosy Theatre tonight. Larry Preston, brilliant young lawyer, in a prominent firm amazes three people when he successfully defends thugs accused of sabotage. But Larry is out to discover the master mind whose gang plan to direct foreign aeroplanes by means of portable radio sets in the event of war, a job which he triumphantly carries out after a series of hectic adventures. “Law and Disorder” is set in the fast moving tradition of the detective thriller, with Preston and Scotland Yard at loggerheads with each other. On the same programme will be seen “The Earl of Puddlestone,”• the latest comedy adventures of the popular “Higgins Family,” with James Russell and Lucille Gleason again in the leading roles. This time the whole family is up in arms over the news that Betty Higgins has been passed over for a role in a play because of her lack of social standing. '-The whole family decides to remedy the position, and their united efforts result in the production of the fictitious “Earl of Puddlestone,” with hilarious consequences.
