The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— GENERAL SITUATION: An anti-cyclone is located to the north of New Zealand and a depression is forming in the central Tasman Sea. FORECAST: Light to moderate north-westerly winds; the weather will be fine and milder. FURTHER OUTLOOK: Cloud, probably increasing by Monday, with scattered rain developing in the ranges.
