Frost in Masterton. A frost of 2 degrees was registered in Masterton this morning. Medical Board Sitting. A sitting of the 'medical board will be held in Masterton on Tuesday. War Expenses Fund. The contributions to the war expenses fund have reached £2,663,379. Trucks Impressed. A particularly large number of trucks impressed in the Manawatu district passed ''through Masterton last night to join the “tines" at Trentham military camp. Dance at Te Ore Ore. There was a good attendance at a dance held at the Te Ore Ore Meeting House last night. The proceeds will be allocated to the furnishing fund. The music was supplied by Te Tau’s Orchestra. Supper was served by a ladies’ committee! Drunken Motor Cyclist Fined. Herbert Watson, butcher, aged 20, who pleaded not guilty in the Magistrates’ Court, Wellington, yesterday before Mr. Luxford. S.M., to having been intoxicated in charge of a motor cycl. in Vivian Street, was fined £5. with costs 10s and doctor's fee £1 Is. He was debarred from holding a licence for 12 months. A Fatal Fall. Found unconscious on the floor in the stalls of the Theatre Royal, Timaru, John Wilson, aged 18, was taken to hospital, where he died a, quarter of an hour later. Wilson was employed as an attendant at the Regent Theatre, and yesterday was working at the Theatre Royal. A broken floorboard indicated that, the boy had fallen from a height.
