SOLWAY RAINFALL
FIGURES FOR MARCH. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that rain was measured on 13 days in March. The maximum fall was 1.37 inches on the 25th, and the minimum 5 points on the 22nd. The total for the month was 3.87 inches as against 2.52 (1940), .78 (1939), 1.51 (1938), 1.13 (1937). 2.77 (1936). The average for 38 years is 2.61 inches. The total rainfall for the three months of this year is 11.42 inches as compared with 6.51 (1940), 1.92 (1939), 11.13 (1938), 8.55 (1937), 17.13 (1936). The average for 38 years is 8.17 inches.
