NAVAL SUCCESSES
U=BOAT AND TANKER SUNK ACHIEVEMENT OF BRITISH SUBMARINE. OTHER ENEMY CRAFT DEALT WITH. More news of British naval successes is given in Admiralty communiques, states the 8.8. C. A British submarine in the Mediterranean sank an Italian U-boat and an Italian tanker of 3500 tons. An Italian destroyer of 1500 tons has been sunk by aircraft off the coast of Eritrea and a German merchant ship has been intercepted in the same area by a British warship. It had tried to escape from Massawa.
