BILL PASSED BY FEDERAL HOUSE. CONTENTION OVER PAYROLL TAX (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) CANBERRA. April 2. The Tax Bill to finance the child endowment scheme has been passed by the House of Representatives and goes to the Senate today. A feature of the second reading debate was the hostility of some members of the United Australia and Country | Parties to the payroll tax and the unj animous support given the Government by the Labour Party.
