DISTRIBUTION TO SCHOOLS PROBABLY STARTING LOCALLY NEXT WEEK. The distribution of free apples to the children ,of Masterton schools, will probably start next week, according to a statement made last night by Mr J. Robertson, M.P., in an address given in the Y.M.C.A. Rooms. In making this announcement, Mr Robertson said that throughout New Zealand 2700 schools would participate in the scheme of free apple. distribution, which ‘would' require just over 12,000 cases of apples per week.
