To save ladders Stockings once worn have lost their elasticity. If you put them on again, you have to suspender them up tighter—then the stretched threads snap into ladders at the first sudden strain. So after each wearing, Lux your stockings straight away, because Lux restores elasticity—threads can take strain again. 2. To save foot holes Most foot holes happen because perspiration acids rot the threads—then shoe pressure rubs a hole. This happens even in cool weather.
