BISHOP HOLLAND
A BUSY 4 WEEKEND AMONG WAIRARAPA MAORIS. CONFIRMATION SERVICES The Right Reverend H. St. Barbe Holland. Bishop of Wellington, arrived in Masterion on Saturday, and had a very happy and busy weekend with the’Maoris of the Wairarapa. The Bishop, who was assisted by the Rev. Hepa Taepa. conducted a Maori Confirmation service at Homewood on Saturday night. Yesterday morning he celebrated the Holy Communion there, and afterwards was entertained at a large Maori gathering. Later in the day the Bishop proceeded to Greytown where another inspiring Maori Confirmation service was held. At Homewood the Bishop was the guest of Mr. and Mrs. Wilson Paku. and at Greytown of Mr. and Mrs. G. To Whaiti. This evening at 7.30 o'clock the Bishop will hold a Confirmation service and preach at a public service in St. Matthew's. Church, Masterton.
