SURPRISE LANDING
MADE BY JAPANESE IN SOUTH CHINA. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) LONDON, March 28. The Canton correspondent of the Domei news agency reports that Japanese troops made a surprise landing at dawn in Chiehshih Bay and east Hungai Bay. South China. It is reported from Shanghai that several hundred Japanese troops, including many high officers, were killed when a troop train hit a large mine in the vicinity of Chiehhsein, Shansi Province. The remnants of the Japanese were ambushed and .attacked by Chinese guerrillas. TROOPS PUSHING INLAND. (Received This Day. 10.25 a.m.) HONG KONG. March 28. The Japanese announce the landing at Kitchioh Bay. .100 miles north of Hongkong, of naval units that escorted numerous transports. It was said that a powerful contingent was put ashore without resistance and an invading column is pushing inland.
