CHURCH SERVICES

Special services for the National Day of Prayer will be observed tomorrow. The Ven. Archdeacon Rich will conduct the services at St. Matthew's Church and the Rev. V. W. Joblin those at Kuripuni and Upper Plain. Appropriate services will be held in the afternoon at Taueru, Bideford, and the Public Hospital. In compliance with the Kings command, special prayers will be delivered at both the morning and evening services at Knox Church. These services Short sessions of prayer will be held ducted by the Rev. John Davie. At the Salvation Army Citadel tomorrow there will be a day of prayer. Short sessions of prayer wil be hole, during the morning and evening. Salvationists in all parts of the Empire will unite with other worshippers >n these services. Soldiers and friends are invited to atend both meetings. In the parish of Lansdowne, special prayers will be offered at all services in accordance with the command of His Majesty the King. The Methodist Church tomorrow will observe a national day of prayer. Mr F. G. Rutter will conduct the service at Kuripuni, and at Masterton both services will be conducted by the Rev. TI. S. Kings. The subject in the morning will be "Our Sure Defence.“ mid in the evening. "The Home Guard. The service of the Masterton Baptist Fellowship, held in the Y.M.C.A. rooms tomorrow, will be in accord with the expressed wish of the King, and the speaker wilt be Mr W. Teeboon. Children not attending any other Sunday school are cordially invited to the service at II) a.m.
